A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has exceeded more than one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in recent weeks. The initiative forms part of the Truth About Drugs campaign, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in cities, neighbourhoods and local businesses.
